Canine Good Citizen
The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test ensures your dog is well behaved and able to handle everyday distractions in a variety of situations. Passing the CGC also sets a solid foundation for more advanced training and dog sports.

Community Canine
Community canine is the advanced level of AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. This test brings the skills your dog learned for the CGC out and into a natural setting. Once successfully completed, your dog will earn the CGCA title on their record.

Urban CGC
Urban Canine Good Citizen is a public access test that demonstrates that your dog is well-trained and behaves appropriately in various public settings. Once your dog can prove these skills, they will earn the CGCU title on their record.

Virtual Home Manners
Virtual Home Manners is available to puppies and adult dogs, and is evaluated through a video submission. This test assesses skills that well-mannered dogs should have in the home setting. After passing the necessary skills, your dog will earn the VHMP (for puppies) or VHMA (for adults).

Trick Dog
There are 5 trick dog titles that can be earned through the AKC: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Trick Dog Performer, and Trick Dog Elite Performer. These tests get progressively harder as you go, and help you build an arsenal of fun tricks to show off. These titles can now be evaluated by video or in person.
